Mediterranean Magic on the Côte d’Azur
with
Chef Jacques Chibois
Bastide Saint-Antoine, Grasse

Imagine living inside a Matisse painting where every day offers a feast for all the senses: colorful anemones; the rich perfumes of lemon blossoms and lavender at the daily flower market; the heavenly flavors of grilled lobster served with an infusion of black and red fennel seeds; or a perfectly pink rack of lamb on a bed of baby vegetables, served on a sunlit terrace overlooking the brilliant blue Mediterranean sea. Imagine all this and you will be transported to the Côte d’Azur. Unlike any other earthly paradise, the French Riviera is full of resplendent art deco architecture, countless museums and gardens, dramatically perched villages, and islands with breathtaking vistas. On the culinary side, you’ll find dozens of varieties of fresh fish, crustaceans, and olives, as well as succulent fruits and vegetables and refreshing white and rosé wines.

If this captures your fancy, join us at one of the Côte d’Azur’s newest temples of gastronomy and luxury, the Bastide Saint-Antoine. Chef Jacques Chibois has created a truly luxurious hotel in his 18th-century country house, and his cuisine is fittingly sublime. When you join us in his restaurant kitchen and learn to prepare his Coquilles St. Jacques with white truffles, you will see why he is rumored to be on his way to a third Michelin star. Cooking classes will be limited to 10 participants, but Chef Chibois welcomes spouses and guests as observers in the kitchen and as full participants at the table when the feasting begins!
