A world away from the pace and pressures of everyday life, on a small peninsula in the tranquil and picturesque fishing town of Locquirec, the Grand Hotel des Bains offers understated luxury year round. Excellence of service and delicious, healthy food combine with the inspiring location to provide an utterly peaceful atmosphere in which to relax and take care of yourself. In the restaurant, Chef Michel Nicol serves excellent seasonal food with an emphasis on fish, seafood and locally grown organic vegetables which he will teach us how to prepare in two hands-on cooking classes. Everyday, we will enjoy a different treatment in the luxurious spa which has a heated salt water swimming pool, a fitness center and bicycles which are available anytime.In addition to spa treatments and cooking classes, we will explore the stunningly beautiful coast of Brittany with walks along the coast and a boat trip to the islands.

Trip Itinerary

Rendezvous at the train station in Morlaix in the afternoon. Arrival at the Grand Hotel des Bains in time for a swim, a workout or a walk before dinner. Aperitifs and festive welcome dinner at the hotel.

A morning walk along the coast with stunning vistas in every direction. Lunch at the Brasserie du Port. Afternoon spa treatment. Dinner at the hotel – Breton music after dinner.

Morning spa treatment. Lunch at the Brasserie du Port. Afternoon cooking class. Dinner at the hotel, feasting on our creations.

Morning spa treatment. A mussel lunch at the port. Boat trip to the Islands after lunch. Dinner at the hotel.

Early morning visit to the market in Lannion with the Chef. Spa treatments before and after lunch. Late afternoon cooking class. Farewell gala dinner at the hotel.

Morning spa treatment. Crepe lunch in town. Departure for the train station in Morlaix after lunch.

Accommodations & Cost

Accommodations: Le Grand Hotel de Bains is a combined hotel, spa and restaurant. All participants stay in the Grand Hotel’s seaview rooms. Each includes a private bathroom and direct dial phone service.

Included in the cost: 5 nights accommodations; all ground transportation to and from Morlaix; all meals including aperitifs and carefully selected regional wines; all cooking classes and spa treatments as described; and all sightseeing and private visits as described above. Limited to eight class participants.

Not Included in Cost: Train fare to and from Morlaix; alcoholic beverages except as specified in the program.

Cost: $2,890 or 2,190 euros per person; Single Supplement $500 or 400 euros per person. Important note: substantial changes in the value of the dollar may require changes in the price of the tour.If you choose to pay in euros, please make euro checks payable to Patricia Ravenscroft, LLD.
